The practice

The person in the room is the person accountable for the analysis, the architecture and the result. No account team, no handover, no delivery layer between the problem and the people solving it.
Most of the work sits in the difficult middle, where product, engineering, operations, risk and regulation all have to agree before a payment can move. Scheme economics, orchestration, ledgers, reconciliation, real-time rails, cross-border flows — the unglamorous machinery that decides whether a business can actually take money in a given market.
The deliverable is rarely a presentation. It is a clearer next decision, and usually the thing that decision turns out to require.

Elishah is also the holding company for a small number of businesses.
What we bring is product judgement, technical leadership and long-term stewardship rather than a cheque and a board seat. Fewer companies, deeper involvement, and a clear reason for us to be at the table at all.
04 — Engagements
A specific question, a senior answer, and a path somebody can act on.
A fixed-scope diagnostic, an architecture review, technical due diligence, an embedded advisory seat, or hands-on delivery. Most begin with a constraint that matters: a market that cannot launch, a stack that no longer scales, a processor relationship that needs challenging.
Short engagements by preference. Longer involvement only where continuity materially changes the outcome.

How we operate

Payments problems are rarely only technical. The commercial model, the operating reality, the regulatory constraint and the failure modes get examined together, because that is how they fail.
No recycled framework with the logo changed, no transformation theatre. Each engagement is shaped around the business and the decision in front of it.
Sensitive work stays sensitive. Client names, internal systems and commercial terms are not used as marketing material without permission.
Good work does not need to look frantic. Weeks rather than quarters — because an answer stops being useful the longer it takes to arrive.
